TYC all done

Posted on June 4th, 2008 at 06:12 AM

Well Tyco (TYC) came in and stopped out after having hit the first target but never making to the MOB. All fine with me. Like I have heard some pilots say "any landing you walk away from is a good landing". Well in trading "any trade you make a profit on is a good trade".

I hope everyone followed along and understands the process.

Keep It Simple...

On May 20, 2008 I wrote "GPB/USD in the Bermuda Triangle" and alert our readers to a potential Advanced GET Stochastic sell that was shaping up. If you had simply kept the position on your watch list and been patient allowing the trade to come to you, it can be that simple.

In reality simply obeying the rules for the Advanced GET Stochastic Strategy was all you needed. All the other things were just extra (in a personal effort to have more precision).

Day Trading Forex -- Key Features for Shaping a Forex Day Trade

By Abe Cofnas, equity broker, futures trader and technical analysis instructor*

Until recent years, the opportunity to put on a trade was governed by the cycle of day and night. But, a unique characteristic of Forex trading is its round-the-clock sequence. Starting Sunday, when the sun rises in Asia, until Friday late afternoon, when the New York markets close, Forex trading is available.

So, the question arises: What constitutes a day trade in Forex, if, technically, it comprises a continuous week of trading? To answer that question, we do not need to delve into the nature of human circadian biorhythms. We have to be arbitrary.

Trade Psychology: The Act of Self Recognition (Chapter Two: The Stage)

By M. William Scheier, a futures trader and analyst in the E-mini Index contracts*
Posted: June 6, 2008

No matter how clever your trade entries are, successful trading is mostly a mental game. This treatise on trade psychology is appearing in a series of installments (and modified for use on this site) and has been excerpted from chapters of the book Pivots, Patterns and Self Recognition. The excerpts appear here by permission of the publisher, valhallafutures.com.

This is the third installment in this series, whose purpose is to examine the internal decision environment the trader faces within his mind. On the assumption that a better understanding of the mental conflicts we face will improve our trading results, the three modes of conflict are personified in separate “voices” inside of us. These are the Trader, the Account and the Analyst.
