(RTTNews) - Encore Wire Corp. (WIRE) is dropping during after-hours trading on Wednesday following the release of quarterly results that fell year-over-year.
At 4:40 pm ET the stock is trading at $18.90 down $3.72 from Wednesday's close.
With the decline, the stock stands to open below recent support and at its lowest level in three months.
The company reported net income for the quarter of $1.3 million versus $19.7 million in the same quarter last year.
Earnings per share were $0.06 for the quarter versus $0.83 for the same quarter of 2007.
