(RTTNews) - Thursday, the Statistics Estonia announced that the country's average monthly gross wages and salaries increased 15.2% year-over-year to reach 13,306 kroons in the second quarter. In the first quarter, the increase was 19.5%.

During the second quarter, the biggest increase was in fishing, while the smallest rise was in financial intermediation.

At the same time, average hourly gross wages and salaries climbed 17.7% year-over-year to total 78.26 Kroons in the second quarter. In the previous quarter, the increase was 20.5%.

Further, the statistical office said real wages grew 3.4% in the second quarter, given that the consumer price inflation was 11.4% for the period.

The employer's average monthly labor costs per employee grew 15.6% year-on-year in the second quarter, while the hourly labor costs rose 17.9%.
